Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Admiral’s Walk Optometry Clinic will reduce operations to urgent/essential services only. This decision was based on the guidelines set out by the Chief Health Officer and College of Optometry to protect our patients, doctors, staff and broader community.

We remain committed to supporting our community, and will have an Optician working reduced hours to respond to eye emergencies, answer the phones and return messages. One of our optometrists will then be contacted and return your call ASAP if needed.

Urgent and Essential Services include but are not limited to;

Onset of sudden flashes/floaters
Eye infections
Allergic reactions
Minor eye injury
Sudden onset vision loss
Darkening of vision
Broken glasses for those without a spare pair

Our Doctors will manage patients via phone or telehealth only (live video). Referrals will be made to see an Ophthalmologist in person should the need arise to reduce the burden on Emergency Hospital services.

Please use the following link to our Telehealth Consent Form, complete the form and return it to our office if instructed to do so.

If you currently have glasses on order, or would like to place an order we respectfully ask that you call ahead to arrange a time so that we can follow the social distancing guidelines. We ask that anyone accompanying you remain outside. Contact lens orders can be mailed straight to your home or we can arrange curbside pickup. Dry eye products may be picked up curbside.
